WHO ARE OUR VOLUNTEERS? They are caring interested people from the community who have kindly given their time.
Volunteers are of vital importance to this service. Without them we can’t exist.
WE NEED YOUR HELP.
VOLUNTEERS WILL RECEIVE
- Orientation and training
- Ongoing support
- Reimbursement for any out of pocket expense.
- Insurance coverage.
A volunteer does not need any formal qualifications but a sense of caring for others
Volunteer Roles
Volunteers will not be used to replace paid workers in the organisation. Volunteers may assist the service in a number of ways including;

Administration

Delivering meals
-
Cooking meals
-
Assisting with cooking meals
-
Shopping for clients
-
Shopping with clients
-
Encouraging a person suffering from Dementia to eat a meal
-
Assisting in preparation or part preparation of a meal in the home
-
Assisting in the Activity Centre
-
Becoming a Board Member.
